History
It was a privately owned airline established in 1997 that started operations in May 1998. Originally aircraft were operated on its behalf by Air Cordial, whose Air Operators Certificate was suspended at their request from 12 November2004. Air Scandic was Lapland Air of Finland trading as Air Scandic. It suspended all flights and entered into liquidation in September 2005, leaving many of its customers stranded across Europe.
