Angelo Peruzzi

Peruzzi has played for A.S. Roma Roma (1987-89), Hellas Verona (1989-90), Juventus (1990-99), Internazionale Milano F.C. Internazionale (1999-2000), and Lazio (2000-). With Juventus, he won three ''scudettos'' and one UEFA Champions League Champions League title.
For Italy national football team Italy, Peruzzi has been capped 27 times and played at {{Ec|96}}. He was scheduled to be the starter at the {{Wc|1998}}, but suffered a late injury and was taken off the squad; Gianluca Pagliuca started instead. A similar fate hit Angelo two years later at {{Ec2.html">Francesco Toldo led the team to the final. Peruzzi subsequently quit the national team, but came back four years latter, backing up Gianluigi Buffon at {{Ec2 2004}}. He was also a member of the national squad that competed at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona.
