It gets its nickname "Tigers" from line 355: "Where crouching tigers wait their hapless prey". AU is also called "the loveliest village on the plain", as referenced in the first line of the poem. *The Auburn Automobile Company, an American automobile marque that existed from 1900 to 1937. *The term ''Auburn (color)'' is sometimes used to describe a colour. When used about hair, it is most often a reddish brown. Some internet browsers recognize it as an HTML colour name.
