It included most of the landmasses which make up today's continents of the northern hemisphere. Around 200 million years ago, Laurasia divided into the continents after which it is named: Laurentia '''''Laur'''''entia (now North America) and Eurasia Eur'''''asia''''' (excluding India and Arabia). The southern supercontinent created is called Gondwana.
