History
Lee was first settled in
1760 and was officially incorporated in
1777.

According to the
United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 70.0
square kilometer km² (27.0
square mile mi²). 68.4 km² (26.4 mi²) of it is land and 1.6 km² (0.6 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 2.33% water.

The average household size was 2.39 and the average family size was 2.91.
In the town the population was spread out with 22.1% under the age of 18, 7.0% from 18 to 24, 28.5% from 25 to 44, 25.6% from 45 to 64, and 16.8% who were 65 years of age or older.
