'''Morris''' is a city located in Stevens County, Minnesota. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 5,068. It is the county seat of Stevens County, Minnesota Stevens County Geographic references ⁶. The city is home to the University of Minnesota system's University of Minnesota, Morris Morris campus. In 1975, the city was also the site of the largest earthquake of the last century in the state, rated at between 4.6 and 4.8 in Richter scale magnitude.

Demographics
As of the census Geographic references#2 ² of 2000, there were 5,068 people, 1,929 households, and 985 families residing in the city. The population density was 457.2/km² (1,183.2/mi²). There were 2,067 housing units at an average density of 186.5/km² (482.6/mi²). There were 1,929 households out of which 23.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 42.0% were Marriage married couples living together, 6.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 48.9% were non-families. 36.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 17.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.20 and the average family size was 2.84. In the city the population was spread out with 16.7% under the age of 18, 34.2% from 18 to 24, 19.0% from 25 to 44, 13.9% from 45 to 64, and 16.2% who were 65 years of age or older.
