'''Winchcombeshire''', an traditional counties of England historic county in the South West England South West of England, in the 10th century 10th and 11th century 11th centuries, developed around its county town, Winchcombe. It appears to have been amalgmated with Gloucestershire after Canute the Great Cnut conquered England in 1017, although some parts of the county appear to lie in what is usually considered to be Worcestershire.
